Family support for children and young people
If someone you care about is using drugs or alcohol, it can affect how you feel. We're here to help you find ways to feel safer and more supported.
Who we support
Our Family Team supports anyone in Stoke-on-Trent affected by drugs or alcohol. We work with:
- Children and young people aged 5-19 (or up to 25 if extra support is needed) who are affected by a parent, carer, or loved one's drug or alcohol use.
- Parents, carers, and family members who are worried about someone.
- Families as a whole, helping everyone find new ways to talk, cope, and rebuild together.

How we support families
When drugs or alcohol affect someone in the family, it can touch everyone - sometimes in ways that are hard to talk about. Our Family Team is here to help you find understand, strength, and new ways forward together.
We can offer one-to-one sessions, joint meetings with family members, or group sessions with others who've been through similar things. We'll help you explore ways to cope and look after your own wellbeing too.
Every family is different, so we'll take time to listen and build support around what you need - with kindness, respect, and no judgement.

Ready to talk?
You don't have to face things on your own. Whether you're a parent, carer, or young person, our Family Team is here to listen and help you find the support that feels right for you.
