Why carry naloxone?
Overdoses can happen to anyone using opioids - whether regularly, occasionally, or after a break from use. Carrying naloxone means you could save the life of a friend, family member, or someone in your community.
What is naloxone?
Naloxone is a medicine that can restart breathing if someone overdoses on opioids. It starts to work in minutes and can keep a person alive until an ambulance arrives. It only works on opioids and is not harmful if given by mistake.
