We know asking for help can feel tough. We make it simple. Our team is here to listen, not judge. You can come to us for advice, a friendly chat, or more structured support.
Everyone's journey is different. Some people want to stop using drugs or alcohol. Others want to cut down, use more safely, or just get clear information. Whatever your goal, we will support you.

How we can help
At CDAS you can:
- Drop in - no referral or appointment needed.
- Talk one-to-one with a trained recovery worker who listens and helps you plan next steps.
- Join a group and share your experiences in a safe space.
- Get medical support from our clinical team.
- Access specialist help, including Hep C testing and treatment, naloxone training, and our free needle and syringe service.

Our services
Drop-in
Our drop-in service for adults over 18 is open to anyone who is affected by drugs or alcohol in Stoke-on-Trent. You don't need an appointment or referral. Just walk in during our opening times and talk to us.
Support groups
Our groups are a place to share, listen, and learn with others who understand what you're going through.
Help with finding work
If you need support with finding work, benefits, housing, or debt, we can support you in a number of ways.
Needle and syringe service
For anyone who injects drugs, we provide new, sterile injecting equipment to help keep you safe. Our free needle exchanges offer a wide range of free kit including syringes, cups, swabs, and more.
Naloxone help and training
Naloxone is a medicine that can save someone's life if they have an opioid overdose. We give out free naloxone kits and show you how to use them.
Blood borne virus screening
We offer free and confidential blood borne virus (BBV) screening as part of your treatment and care. This helps you stay healthy and get the right support as soon as possible if you need it.
Aftercare and ongoing support
Stoke Recovery Service offers free, ongoing support for adults in Stoke-on-Trent who have stopped using drugs or alcohol and want to keep building a healthy, connected life in recovery.
You can take part in one-to-one sessions, peer groups, and creative or wellbeing activities that help you stay strong and supported.
