Support for young people who use drugs or alcohol

If you're a young person, we can give you support that fits you. We don't preach or tell you what to do. Instead, we listen, talk things through, and help you make choices that feel right for your life.

That might mean learning how to cut down, staying safer, or just getting clear information so you can decide what you want next.

Our support is all about giving you the tools, knowledge, and confidence to make your own decisions.

Advice for supporting someone else

Support for young people affected by drugs or alcohol

When someone in your family, or even someone close to you, is using drugs or alcohol, it can be hard. You might feel worried, upset, or alone.

Our Family team provides support to young people aged 5 to 19 who are impacted by somebody else's substance misuse. This includes one-to-one chats, group support, workshops, and activities to help you understand what's going on and find ways to cope.

Will you have to speak to my parents?

When you talk to us, what you say is private. We won't tell other people what you've said unless we need to keep you or someone else safe.

That means, most of the time, what you share stays between you and your keyworker. But if we are worried about your safety, we may need to speak to another professional who can help. If this does happen, we will always try to talk to you first so you know what's happening and why.

We want you to feel safe and listened to. You can always ask us if you're unsure who we might share information with.

Ready to chat to us?

If you're under 19 and drugs or alcohol are affecting you or someone close to you, we are here for you. You don't need a referral and you won't be judged.
